22. INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF NEUROPSYCHOANALYSIS (NPSA) – TEL AVIV
Prof. Popov Milan, Prof. Nebojša Maksimović, and Philosopher Igor Grujičić participated in the 22nd International Congress of Neuropsychoanalysis, held in Tel Aviv from July 6 to 8, 2023.
During the congress, the results of research in interactive psychoanalysis, a new form of philosophical practice developed at the Institute for Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies in Novi Sad, were presented in a poster session. Additionally, a translated version of the book The Brain and the Inner World was formally presented to Mark Solms and Oliver Turnbull.
The theme of the congress was PLAY: The Social Mind and Brain.
The congress highlighted new connections between various aspects: theoretical perspectives, clinical reflections, and the perspectives of social groups. These connections will contribute to a better understanding of the concept and the improvement of our practical work.
The concept of PLAY is usually associated with fun and enjoyment, but at its core, it represents a biological need.
U In a neuropsychoanalytic sense, PLAY - based on theory, research, and clinical practice - is one of the emotional drives of the brain that significantly influences:
- Our personality and lives,
- Our contact with others,
- Integration into society,
- Relationships within and outside groups, hierarchy, and power,
- As well as the development of empathy.
